About Us
Aims and Objectives
· At Chatsworth Care we support the concept of providing care in a community setting for persons male and female with moderate to severe learning disabilities. We specialise in caring for people with Autism Spectrum Disorders and are listed on the NAS Accreditation Register. Emphasis is placed on promoting independent living and social skills.
· Our staff provide a supportive, caring and homely environment in which a person can maintain their individuality and independence, enjoying a lifestyle which is as close as can be to that which they might enjoy in their own home.
· Our aim is to enlighten and encourage people to have control over their own lives as far as possible and become a valued member of their community.
· We encourage people to participate in a full range of social/leisure activities and to develop appropriate skills in such environments.
· Each person has a weekly programme which is devised between the manager, themselves, professionals and family members to promote independence and empower them to take measured risks and control over their own lives.
Our Beliefs
· We are here to care for people who have very special needs.
· We work with people in an open and honest way.
· People have a right to quality service.
· Services are provided to meet the assessed needs of each person and are regularly evaluated.
· The privacy, dignity and value of the people we care for is paramount and respected at all times.
· We value the people we care for as equals in society.
· Individuality and personal needs are considered and respected at all times.
· Our aim is fulfilment for each person. For them to experience the freedom, delights and frustrations of everyday life.
· As far as possible, each person is encouraged to act and think independently without reference to another person.
Training
We have our own Training Manager. All members of staff have already or are completing Health & Social Care levels 2, 3 & 4, Mentoring and Assessor Awards and Statutory and Specialist training in line with Care Homes Regulations and Standards. Training is regularly evaluated, updated and reinforced.
Fee Structure
Chatsworth Care does not operate a set fee system. Placements are based upon needs assessment and are negotiated via the Registered Care Manager. There is a set minimum fee, however, which reflects the high staffing levels and the service delivered to high dependency needs. Fees may also need to be renegotiated with purchasers if needs change.
Complaints Procedure & Quality Assurance
Chatsworth Care operates a complaints procedure which is easily accessible in the home for a resident, their family, visitors and professionals. A quality assurance system is also in place to ensure a consistently high level of care as well as highlighting ways to improve our service.
Diet and Culture
Residents help to choose and plan their menus taking into consideration healthy options, culture and dietary requirements. Meal times are, of course, flexible, sociable and friendly occasions.
