Chatsworth Care provides quality residential care for  adults with moderate to severe learning disabilities, autism, challenging behaviour and complex needs between the ages of 18 to 65 years.  Our philosophy is an holistic one, caring for the whole person, trying to meet their needs, their  aspirations and ultimately their potential as an individual.  We have no implied rules or accepted views which may restrict a person’s independence.

Our care staff do things with people not for them, encouraging them to help themselves and share household tasks.  They seek a person’s views and wishes as far as possible and do not perceive self-determination as difficult behaviour, but rather as an attribute.

Our staff rotas are structured so as to allow time to motivate and stimulate people, including spending a lot of time out in the community, helping them to fulfil their wishes and capabilities in activities such as club evenings, bowling, swimming, horse riding, rambling clubs, etc.  There are also in-house activities, music & fun/theme evenings and birthday parties, etc.

We provide spacious rooms, in excess of 12 sq.mts, and offer en-suite shower/bath facilities.  There are spacious lounge areas and bright and homely kitchen facilities designed for people to enjoy and be involved in food preparation and cooking, along with associated life skills.
